Douglas Island
Part of the City and Borough of Juneau, Douglas Island is separated from the mainland by the Gastineau Channel and is accessible via the Juneau-Douglas Bridge. The island is comprised of two areas: North Douglas and Douglas. North Douglas is found north of the access bridge and contains the Eaglecrest Ski Resort. The residential community known as Douglas is found at the south end of the Douglas Highway and is home to the Perseverance Theatre and Sandy Beach.
